14 year olds-

My Brother Thayn and his family come over every sunday for dinner (which is very fun) and today we had everyone over for cake and ice cream to celebrate March Birthdays. I have to insert a picture of my nephew Kyle here as he was being razzed about his outfit. He is a typical 14 year old and right now, he doesnt care what he wears. His aunt Lynette told him his out fit was hurting her eyes. Kyle is a great kid who has alot of compassion for others and I don't care what he wears, I love him anyway!!! :)

I thought this was a cute picture of Peyton and her big sister Kyndra. Aubrey is taking pictures of the kids on Tuesday and I can't wait to see them. Aubrey does such a great job!!!

General YW Meeting

I have the wonderful opportunity to serve in the Stake YW presidency with Jean Schermerhorn and Kelli Summers. Both of these Sisters are examples of righteousness and I LOVE spending time with them.

Last night was the LDS Church YW General Meeting and it was an awesome meeting. Can I just say I LOVE President Tanner, Sister Dalton and Sister Cook. They have such a special spirit about them and it was great to hear them councel the girls in being Steadfast and Immoveable.
The music was amazing! The choir sang several very beautiful songs with my favorite being "Press Forward Saints". The arrangement was very pretty.

Hoppy Easter part 2--

Today was a beautiful day.

Hoppy Easter---

Today was our annual easter egg hunt and party and it was alot of fun. Everyone was there except Zack, Jordan and Tyler. Tyler stayed home with Peyton since she is only 2 weeks old. Jordan is on his mission in Chile and we can't wait to have him home with us for next years party. The kids had alot of fun.

This is my great nephew Max. He is such a cutie and had fun finding his eggs. Okay, he had fun playing with the eggs once his mom and dad found his eggs for him.

Spring has sprung--- NOT!!

Where is Spring???? I am so ready for the warmth even if it is just a little bit. I don't like the heat but spring and fall are my favorite times of th year. I love spring because all of the flowers and trees are in bloom and everything is awake and new.

This weekend is Easter and our annual family easter egg hunt. I'll post pictures.

Lordy Lordy, look who's "40"

Ican't believe I am the big 40... I know, I Know, I don't act my age but then I thought 40 was the new 30 so I am still young...

One of the benefits ( there are many) of working with my sisters is they have access to my desk... I got to work on Thursday and found this site. It was really fun checking out all the old people sayings they had taped to my cubie. Check out the old lady card they gave me...way funny!!

One of my friends Karen, sent me a bouquet of flowers with a black bow on it. I was sure payback was going to be bad since I had sent her a toomb stone cookie bouquet for hers but she was nice.

My best friend in NY sent me a very nice email. I love her!!

Here are a few pictures of the desk and the card I received welcoming me to the 40's club. A few of my nieces and nephew gave me a gift card to one of my favorite fabric stores ( Pine needles). It's quite funny that I have such an addition to fabric now since I remember when I was younger being dragged to the fabric store with my mom and older sisters and hating it. Now I LOVE it!!!

Proud Aunt!!!

I can't help it... I have some of the cutest nieces and nephews. Here are just a few of them.

Peyton Carole B.

What a sweetheart. She finally arrived!! I KNEW it was going to be a girl. My 18th niece/nephew was born today. She is BEAUTIFUL!! She was 7 lbs 5 oz and barely 19 inches. Just a little petite thing. Kyndra was very excited to finally have her here but Garrett was not so sure about the whole thing. He didn't want to hold her or even look at her when I was holding her. He was just excited for the sleep over at our house and wanted to go.
Peyton loves to suck so she shouldn't have any problems nursing. She sucked on her had so much in the womb that she has callused lip marks on her right hand.
She is named after my mom which I think is real cool.

more quilts

Just a few more quilt pictures I found.

What's for dinner?

This week is my week to cook dinner and in an effort to be healthier, I found a turkey loaf recipe on Zonya's website that looked pretty good. I'll report later on how it tasted.

Well, tomorrow Tyler and LeeAnn are having their baby. Since they already have a girl ( Kyndra) and a boy ( Garrett), they didnt want to find out so it has been a long 9 months... I sound like I'm the one pregnant. :) I just can't wait. I think it is a girl.

quilts quilts quilts

I LOVE to quilt. This is one I made a few months ago that I was going to enter in a contest but it didnt make it to round two.

A new chapter

I'm starting a new chapter in my life. Up to now, I have had quite a few health issues and my weight is no longer going to be one of them. Some of my family has decided to start a program where we weigh in each Sunday evening. I've decided to post my "before" picture as a way to chart my progress. I will keep a running amount for anyone who wants to check my progress.

Wish me luck!!!

I hate that I am so impulsive and don't think before I do things. I have been like this my whole life. I once bought a car ( fittingly called an Isuzu Impusle) without even test driving it. I saw it on the car lot, called and got a loan for it and went in and bought it. The sales guy said " don't you want to test drive it first".

My latest impulsive move has to do with my hair. I had been growing my hair out and had it to my shoulders. Well, last week I guess I was having a bad hair day and cut it all off. It is pretty short. I just keep telling myself, it will grow back. hurry up!!!

2007 Adventures

This past year, I had the opportunity to go see my "surrogate" sister in NY. I had a great time. I met some of the new friends she has made out there and they are wonderful!! I'm jealous and wish I lived there.
I have dreamed about going to NY and what the little towns must be like. I am happy to report they are everything I thought they would be. While I was there, we took the kids and went apple picking. It was at this orchard in a very quaint town and when we got there, it was pouring. We went anyway and had a blast. When I figure out how to post pictures, I'll get them uploaded.

When she was taking me to the airport for my flight to Boston which was the "business" part of this trip, she mentioned how she wanted to see the Rockettes. I couldnt believe what I was hearing... My life long dream has always been to go to Radio City Music Hall in NY and see the Rockettes at Christmas time. This trip was in October and we immediately made plans for me to return in December and take her girls to see the Rockettes.

I flew back out there in December and fulfilled one of my dreams. We had so much fun. I know Wendy thinks I don't have much fun while I am out there but I do. I love spending time with her and her family and can't wait for my next trip out east. Hopefully it will be Octoberish again..

I did it...

I have been lurking around viewing other peoples blog and decided to begin one. I'm not a stay at home mom ( which seems to be the common thread of the blogs I've read), I'm not even a mom but I decided it was a great way to post my day to day journal and write down the things going on in my life. Anyone that happens to read this, have fun!!

I have been blessed with 17 almost 18 wonderful nieces and nephews, 4 extra ones that live in New York, and a great nephew who is 7 months old.

I totally thought today was going to be a nice weather day but it turned out very blustry and then began to snow. uugghh!!! I am sick of the snow. Oh well, at least it is March and spring is just around the corner. However, so are other not so fun things... I turn 40 this month. I CAN'T BELIEVE IT!!!! I feel so old. Hopefully I don't look it. :)
