MIA!!!

Why is it when you have something going on every night that is the week you get sick. This was what was scheduled for this week:
Tuesday: YC meeting
Wednesday: Oakcrest Kick-Off ( Jean is a lifesaver)
Thursday: Teach a quilt class ( thanks mom for doing it for me)
Monday I woke with a sore throat and by the time I got home from work felt pretty lousy. I went to the Dr on Tuesday and had a 103.4 fever, bronchitis, ear infection, and a sinus infection. After two days home from work in bed, I still wasnt feeling great so I called the Dr and had to go back in for a shot. Apparently the bronchitis turned into Pneumonia which knocked me flat.

Today is Friday and I've now been out of work for 4 days. Wish it was doing something other than coughing my guts out. Oh well, I do feel better. Not 100% yet but more like 70%.
I didnt even picked up my fabric or my pattern books so I knew i was pretty sick.
Here's hoping for a healthy rest of the winter. I think I will be getting a Pneumonia shot when I get better.

BL week 3 goal-

I really wish I had happy feet so walking wasnt such a pain for me. It isnt my feet that hurt so much as the back sides of my ankles. Anyone have suggestions on what I can do?? I look like a weirdo when I get up from walking because they stiffen up and I can hardly walk.

Complaining aside, my goal this week is to walk every day and eat more veggies.

Adventure!!

Our ward is doing a Biggest Loser Support group in an effort to get fit. This last Saturday was the first weigh in ( not too late if you still want to join us) and I about died! I''m embarrased to admit the scales we are using have me weighing my heaviest. How embarassing!!!!!

Not for long though- I am going to set weekly goals and use this blog to account for what I did. This past week since today is Thursday has just been to get over the initial shock of the scale and take in more water. Simple I know but I have been fighting a sinus cold and the last thing I have wanted to do was get on the treadmill.

week 2 goal coming up sunday... This is my "now" picture--uugghh!!

50 Years old!!

Wonderful sister and supporter of all!!!

Happy Birthday to you-

I can hardly believe it but my big sis is turning 50 tomorrow. Last night we planned a surprise party for her and all the adults went to Gecko's for dinner. It was alot of fun.

Happy Birthday to you---

We can always count on Gaelynn to make sure every Holiday is celebrated and is a lot of fun. Her absolute favorite is Christmas and if she had her way, Christmas songs would play year round as well as the tree would be a permanent fixture in our decor.

Happy Birthday Gaelynn--

She is the one in our family that coordinates most get togethers and I think she just might be some of the nieces and nephews favorite aunt Wee. :)

Happy Birthday to you!!!!

Gaelynn, I LOVE you and am grateful to have you as my big sis. I hope your Birthday is filled with love and laughter!! Remember, 50 is the new 30... which I kind of like because that would make me only 20. Ohhh to be 20 again!!!!

Ok, well, the easy part is done... I created a logo for my quilts and creations. I have also set up a new blog under sewintoquilts.blogspot.com. Check back as I have been working on some adorable (if I do say so myself) patterns/quilts that are going to the quilters next week. Here's a glimpse though...

"09 IS MINE"

What I mean by this is that this year is all about getting back to the person I am and the person I want to be. Here are a few goals/resolutions I want to reach this year:

1- Get Healthy-

2-Read the Book of Mormon and D&C

3- Attend the Temple regularly

4-Pay off some debt

5- Get some of my quilt patterns published.
