Gingerbread Houses 2010

Every year, the Friday and Saturday after Thanksgiving is filled with decorating gingerbread houses.  My mom and Dana baked 25 houses over the past month and then everyone came over between shopping or working to decorate their house.  Here are a few of their creations:

Things we HOPE for-

This weekend I had the opportunity to go to Time Out for Women at the Salt Palace.  It was filled with songs and inspirational messages on finding HOPE in our lives.  What an AWESOME weekend.

As my niece Kyndra was leaving last night, she said she hoped it snowed alot.  Well, she certainly got her wish.  What a beautiful site.

Tree of Hope

I was asked to do a couple of quilt tops for my work to tie to go along with our tree at the Festival of the Trees.  Here's what I came up with.

blue & sunflowers

I have a friend who asked me to make her a wall quilt and she wanted it in blue and sunflowers.  Not an easy combination but I think I really like it.  I found some material that had sunflowers but it also had apples and pumpkins so I ended up fussy cutting to get the right sunflowers.

I hope she likes it.
